We were contracted to carry out the bat monitoring for the ‘Ryevitalise Project’ conducted in the North York Moors National Park. This involved deploying static bat detectors across 100 x 1-km squares across the Ryevitalise Landscape Partnership Scheme area. Anna liaised with landowners, deployed and collected the static detectors and uploaded the data to the project portal for data analysis. The project led to an improved understanding of the distribution and status of bat species within the Scheme area, and allowed recommendations for practical conservation to be made.
